MCP Tools

Model Context Protocol server-based tools.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) tools are dynamically loaded from connected MCP servers, extending your agents with additional capabilities.

How MCP Works

MCP servers provide tools that become available to your AI agents. Each connected MCP server creates a group of tools in the node picker.

Structure

  • Dynamic groups: Each MCP server becomes its own group
  • Server tools: Tools are listed under their server's group
  • Runtime loading: Tools are loaded when the MCP server is connected

Example

When you connect a Daytona MCP server, you get access to tools like:

  • readFileInWorkspace
  • writeFileInWorkspace
  • listFilesInWorkspace
  • And more...

Connecting MCP Servers

  1. Go to Connect > MCP Servers in Axellero Studio
  2. Add your MCP server configuration
  3. The server's tools become available in the node picker under the MCP tab
